The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort

I’ve always been captivated by the serene beauty of Punta de Mita, a peninsula steeped in both luxury and natural wonder. Nestled along this stunning coastline are a few resorts that truly capture the essence of this paradise, but none quite like the St. Regis Punta Mita. While there are many resorts that promise luxury, the sweeping, iconic views here set it apart—it’s a place where every glance feels like a postcard. When I visit a resort, two things I always look for are exclusivity and exceptional service. At the St. Regis, even though families, couples, and friends gather here, there’s something about the way the resort is spread across its expansive 22 acres that makes you feel as if you’re in your own private world. It’s a delicate balance they’ve mastered, and the result is nothing short of magical. The attentive staff was one of the highlights of my stay. Having a dedicated butler service was such a treat—I could simply send a text, and within minutes, my every need was taken care of. It added a layer of personal attention that made me feel completely at ease. Dining at the resort was a standout experience. With two bars and four restaurants, including the Sakana Bar and the Altamira at St. Regis Bar, there’s plenty to explore. However, Carolina and Marietas were my personal favorites. Carolina offers a more formal, intimate fine dining experience, perfect for a special evening. Marietas, on the other hand, is a casual spot by the beach—ideal for relaxing in resort wear while you take in the sunset with a delicious meal. As someone with a discerning palate, I was pleasantly surprised by how exceptional the food was across the board. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and I can confidently say I didn’t encounter a single disappointment, which says a lot! One of my favorite moments was lounging in a cabana during the early afternoon. There’s something about hearing the ocean breeze, the birds, and the gentle lapping of the waves that creates an almost meditative experience. It’s hard not to feel completely at peace. For those looking for activities, the resort offers a golf club, various aquatic adventures, and even a sunset cruise—all of which can be arranged by the concierge. These were some of the highlights for me, but there’s plenty more to explore. My room was a sanctuary in itself—spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. I especially loved the combination of the indoor and outdoor bathing options, with a terrace shower surrounded by greenery. It was such a unique touch that I found myself reluctant to leave the room! In the end, what truly sets St. Regis Punta Mita apart is its unwavering commitment to exclusivity, service, and the guest experience. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the thoughtfulness and care that goes into every detail. They’ve mastered the art of hospitality, ensuring that your time here is not only memorable but transformative. If you’re searching for a resort that offers the ultimate escape in Punta Mita, the St. Regis should be at the top of your list. I’ve lovingly coined it as Punta Mita’s “escape to exclusivity.” I’ve attached some photos that I hope give you a glimpse of what I experienced firsthand—the views, the food, and most importantly, the feeling of being in a world of your own.

I want to give this place a 10 star. The staff are incredible and the hotel is absolutely gorgeous. They went above and beyond for our 10th anniversary! It is one of the best places I have ever stayed at. Incredible!

We had the most incredible stay at the St. Regis Punta Mita! We traveled with about 40 friends for a big birthday weekend, and everything about this resort exceeded expectations. The food, service, amenities, pools, and rooms were all absolutely wonderful. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the rooms feel fresh, updated, and luxurious. The property itself is spacious with plenty to do — multiple pools (including adult and kid pools), hot tubs, tennis courts, golf, and easy access between the pool and beach. The beach setup is fantastic with chairs, a nearby bar, and full service at both the pool and beach. While there isn’t a swim-up bar, the attentive service more than makes up for it with a bar within steps of the pool. One thing that truly stood out was the level of care and security. We were there during a security situation about 45 mins away near the airport, and the hotel handled it exceptionally well. They kept guests informed, ensured everyone’s safety, and were incredibly organized and well-prepared. We felt completely safe and very well taken care of, which made us appreciate the resort even more. Having a personal butler you can text throughout your stay is such a luxury — they made everything seamless and so easy. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I would highly recommend the St. Regis Punta Mita. Absolutely fantastic stay!

Stayed here a year ago today and I was given the best service from all the butlers. The place was absolutely beautiful as well. The outdoor shower I’ve been thinking about since I left. Coming back in 3 weeks with more friends! Excited to see you all again. Shout out to Jorge my butler. The dinner was also amazing. The 10 course had me astonished with every dish.

Absolutely Incredible – Treated Like Royalty! Our stay at the St. Regis Beach Club in Punta Mita was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with the kind of warmth and professionalism that defines true 5-star service. Coming from a lifetime of working in hospitality, we were in awe of the level of service we received. Every request we had—big or small—was met with a smile and handled effortlessly. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and cared for. Antonio, down at the beach, took care of us for three days and each day he managed to WOW us in a new way. Whether it was polishing our sunglasses, or moving the umbrellas every couple hours so we were constantly shaded, to providing us with a speaker so we could have some fun beach vibes at sunset, or simply just making sure we had everything we needed, when we needed it. Antonio made us feel like kings and queens. The setting was stunning, the attention to detail unmatched, and the service truly elevated the entire experience. We left feeling pampered, refreshed, and already dreaming about our next visit. Now I’ll be sure to look for a St. Regis to stay at every time I travel. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a luxurious, unforgettable getaway!

The property is gorgeous, and the beach was clean and enjoyable. It's a very unique beach with an island in reach. The rooms were elegant and lended itself to the local atmosphere. If you play golf, hole 3B is a riot because the hole is on an island and you can't reach it during high tide. I also much commend the anticipatory nature of the butler service. There are gold carts on site to rent so that you can drive into Punta Mita and experience the town. I will be back.

I honestly can't say enough great things about St. Regis, Punta Mita. The location, the staff, the food, and all the accommodations were truly a 10 out of 10. If you're considering booking—do it! I highly recommend the tequila tasting at the lobby bar with Armando—such a fun and memorable experience. Hands down, the best vacation ever!

We had a wonderful stay at the St. Regis Punta Mita to celebrate our one-year anniversary! From start to finish, the service was exceptional. Our butlers, especially Nancy, went above and beyond—unpacking our clothes and bringing hot water to our room every morning. Such thoughtful touches made our stay extra special. Every meal we had was absolutely delicious, and the staff at Marietas were so kind and accommodating. Beach side service was top notch. The property itself is stunning—peaceful, luxurious, and beautifully maintained. The only small downside was that the beach is quite rocky, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. We truly enjoyed every moment and will definitely be back!
